I am still here

I am still here.
The project in Rio de Janeiro is a real interesting. The project is for the Eletricity Company. They will change the way they measure the amount of energy that every house spends. It will be measure with a GPRS technology. We are working in the system and in the procedures.
The project's due date is in September. I will be traveling back and forth every week. At this phase of the project I will stay 3 days a week there. It will have phases that I will stay all week and phase that I won't go.
One interesting thing is the flight time. It takes only 3o minutes from the plane's departure to the plane's lading. This is a bussiness route. A lot of people go early in the morning and come back in th end of the day. It is called Ponte Aérea Rio-São Paulo (Air Bridge Rio-São Paulo). Last Thursday, I was able to take an early flight. As soon as we entered the plane, all the departures were suspended because of the bad weather in São Paulo. So, we waited for 32 long minutes inside of the plane. After we departure and we were almost in São Paulo, the pilot said the São Paulo's airport was closed again because of the bad weather and we were supposed to spend sometime flying around until it opened again. We were flying for 75 minutes until the traffic control guys autorized the flight's landing. More 35 minutes to get home because of the traffic caos.... And I was finally home after 142 minutes.

Mardi Grass, Work and New Year's Resolutions!!!

Yes, we are in the middle of the Mardi Grass Holiday and we are at home... We are at home, in a really fall like weather and enjoying every minute.
It is so good to be away from all the craziness that we had in Bahia. Of course, it is really nice to go and see the festivities. But this year the "Rest Bloco" has my vote.
On Saturday, we went to the usual chores.... What a boring day Saturday has become.
Yesterday, we had sun shine after almost 2 weeks. We woke up and headed to a park for a 3 miles walk We came back home...got ourselves ready and we went to the mall for a late lunch and a movie session. Well, as the last one we saw, it was me who chose,. Yesterday was Paulo's turn. He chose the movie: "I am legend" with Will Smith. Let's say it is not a bad movie, but it is far away from a good movie...
So, today we are at home, we will be going out in a few minutes just to say that we haven't been inside all day ; )
I know I am not the best blogger in the world and I haven't been having time to write since I started to work.
On Friday afternoon, my boss called me to a meeting with her and our director. They were informing me that I will be part of a huge project that the company is working on and I will have to start to travel to "R*I*O D*E J*A*N*E*I*R*O" every Tuesday and I will come back on Thursday or Friday depends on the project schedule until July, but it can go until September. It is a huge professional opportunity and I think I will like it a lot.... but this goes to my late New Year's Resolution.
I am not a huge fan of New Year's Resolution, but after this communication... I had to make one, and as long as we are in the begin of the second month of the year. I think it still qualifies as a New Year's Resolution.
I am a really unorganized person and I have lack of discipline. (And I am married to one of the most organized man on Earth).
So, my biggest resolution is learn to use every single resource from my HP Ipaq 2795, that Paulo gave to me after he bought himself a smartphone.
Note: he never really used this Ipaq, he bought but he never could use the way he can use the Treo Smartphone...
Have a nice week,
~ Kisses and Hugs~
